This is an excellent opportunity to work for an award winning, medium sized diagnostics company. They sell a wide range of novel diagnostic kits used to test contaminants, toxins and pathogens in food and agricultural products. They are continually developing novel kits, and are investing heavily in microbiology testing.
You will be involved in managing the distribution network within EMEA. You will be responsible in increasing business through the distributors, as well as training and acting as the product specialist for any technical queries.
Reporting to the Distributor Manager, you will assume responsibility for the effective management of given territories and customers located in European, Middle Eastern and African countries. This will involving development of given territories in terms of sales growth and broadening of the product offering and mix with particular emphasis on increasing microbiological products.
You will also assist with general financial management of the territory. This includes assisting with setting budgets, preparing reports as required and assisting administration with payment issues and invoice related matters.
The ideal candidate will be degree qualified in a life science discipline with experience of meeting sales targets. Distribution management experience would be beneficial, but not essential.
In addition the person must have excellent communication, presentation and negotiating skills. In particular, you must demonstrate drive, energy and enthusiasm for the services offered and must be able to build rapport with distributors. The person must also be willing to undertake considerable travel in order to meet with clients as the geographical market is widespread.
