A European market leader in the production of speciality chemical is expanding its commercial team within the UK and is keen to recruit a dedicated Sales Executive. The company is focused on strengthening its UK presence and this exciting new position is key to the companys growth plans.
The group's activities include research, development, production, marketing and sales of speciality chemicals. Group sales are in excess of Euros 500 million.
The role will involve building relationships with existing and prospective customers to sell the features and benefits of the companys product lines. You will be responsible for planning and executing sales activities and using market intelligence to develop new and existing business. You will also budget and forecast volumes, values and margins, and ensure that quotations to customers meet the customers and the companys needs. You will inherit existing warm accounts and have the time and support to develop the territory. The territory covers the North of the UK and Scotland or Midlands/South depending on your location. You will need to live within a commutable distance of the Derbyshire offices.
You will need a science degree ideally with some sales experience. Experience in chemical sales is not required, however this would be an advantage. This is your chance to break into the chemicals industry and full training will be given. This is a role you can develop in, the responsibilities will increase when you are ready to take on new challenges. If you do not have sales experience but feel that this commercial path is well suited to you please apply with a covering letter and trainees will be considered, a chemical degree background or similar would be required.
