A rare opportunity has opened for a UK key account manager in a small microbiology manufacturer specialising in culture media and diagnostic testing kits. They have an inside sales team and an export sales team, so this role will be focusing on only the biggest accounts.
We are looking for someone with a technical background in microbiology and experience selling microbiological testing or related products to food, drinking water, brewing, clinical, pharma or cosmetics markets. This role will involve working independently to manage existing accounts, develop further business, and use your initiative to identify customer requirements for new opportunities for the product development team. There will be some management of distribution channels. You will be experienced in developing sales in relevant markets and should have experience with tendering processes.
