Development Scientist | Animal Nutrition | Europe / USA | to £50K (£55K OTE)

Our client is an innovative multi-national market leader in animal feed additives with a global reputation for new product development. They offer real career prospects and a supportive professional environment.

As a Development Scientist (Animal Nutrition) you will be a key member of the project team responsible for product development. You will interact with research, technical services, regulatory, intellectual property and product management teams.

You will have budgetary responsibility for associated projects and plan and execute research trials with leading contract research organisations around the world. Networking with these organisations you will be involved in producing high quality data which will support the companys high scientific profile in nutrition solutions for the animal feed industry.

You will produce scientific papers and present them at conferences to support the animal nutrition divisions profile as market leader.

This is an interactive role and will liaise with product management, technical services, regulatory and intellectual property teams to ensure they are able to gain maximum value from new product and service solutions. This could involve internal technical support and delivering training sessions with colleagues.

For this role you will need an MSc ( with some research experience) or PhD in animal science or a related discipline – the focus should be monogastric nutrition. As an experienced member of the team you will require significant experience from a commercial setting and a good understanding of the feed / feed additives industry.

Relevant industry experience in the field of animal nutrition development science will be a significant advantage but is not essential if you can demonstrate the calibre and ability to contribute to this field.

The salary is commensurate with experience. The role can be based from the UK or possibly Europe or the US.
