Field Service Engineer | UK | Scientific instruments | to £40K (£42K OTE)

My client supplies immunological reagents and consumables together with instrumentation and equipment into the Life Science sector and also produces products for Molecular Biology and bespoke genomic services. Due to growth, the company is seeking to recruit an experienced Field Service Engineer who will be responsible to maintain the proper functionality and safety of analytical and medical equipment throughout the UK and Ireland.

Your role will be to provide a high quality service through installing, servicing and maintaining a range of electrical medical equipment. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently you will enjoy the flexibility of organising your own work schedule together with other field service engineers employed in the UK and co-ordinated through the UK sales office. As part of the UK sales team you will be focused on delivering outstanding results for its customers, both in terms of quality and professionalism.

The person:

  • Qualified in mechatronics or electrical engineering.

  • Experience in analytical or medical equipment.

  • Experience of working in a laboratory environment.

  • Knowledge of following instruments: flowcytometer, , analytical laboratory instruments, clinical and therapeutic instruments.

There is an additional requirement to provide cover in European and Worldwide locations during holiday and sickness periods as part of a global field engineer support team.
