Key Account Manager (Academia) | London | to £43K (£56K OTE)

One of the most well respected life science companies is looking for a Key Account Manager to cover the high spend key accounts in the London area. The company has a friendly and supportive culture with training and career development. They have one of the most well recognised life science brands and are the supplier of choice for many research institutions. If you have sales or commercial experience from the chemical or life science sector and are looking to take this further within a market leader then this is the role for you.

The role is to fully manage selected London area key accounts in the academic sector which will involve mapping the client, assessing current and future growth opportunities, co-ordinating specialist support from colleagues as required and producing and implementing a strategic plan for the client in conjunction with management.

The role is field based from a home office set-up.

To be qualified for this role you will have a science qualification to degree level in chemistry, biology or a related field combined with relevant sales or commercial experience from the life science or chemical sector. Knowledge of large academic institutions would be an advantage but similar experience from the commercial sector would be very much of interest as well. If you have some industry experience but lack the formal sales experience we would still like to hear from you if you can convince us why you are right for the role!
