A very rare opportunity has become available due to expansion of this companies European technical support team based from their offices in Cambridgeshire.
The role will involve managing a team of 4 technical support specialists initially, although it is expected that this team will grow to 8 over the next year. The company manufacture a range of genomic based research systems and support their customers across Europe by e-mail and telephone. The technical support manager will join two other team leaders all leading similar sized teams based in their offices. You will be expected to handle complex queries directly, manage, motivate and monitor the performance of your team. You will actively develop your team and also recruit additional members as the group grows and people are promoted within the company.
We are keen to speak to those with a good technical understanding of molecular biology techniques and previous team leadership experience, ideally coming from an applications or technical support function already although those in a team leadership position in a research facility keen to expand their career into a technical support area should still contact us.
