Leading provider of research services in the field of personalised medicines is looking for an experienced cancer cell biologist. The company has a great reputation for providing services and tools at the forefront of life science research.
The Companys proprietary virally-mediated gene-engineering technology enables any endogenous gene in a human cell-line to be altered quickly, reliably and without introducing unwanted and confounding genotypes and/or phenotypes. The company has developed cell models, which are the worlds first source of genetically-defined and patient-relevant human cell lines.
The Cell Line Production group is looking for a scientist with experience in molecular biology or cell biology, ideally in the oncology field. The group is responsible for producing custom isogenic cell lines to meet client requirements.
You will be Degree educated or equivalent with some laboratory experience in a relevant area.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Molecular biology experience including cloning, gDNA and RNA isolation, PCR (gDNA, RT-PCR).
- A good understanding of genetics.
- Cell culture experience (good aseptic technique).
You will join a team responsible for the design of targeting vectors, characterisation of parental cell lines, production of targeting virus, infection of cell lines, genetic screening and validation of clones, and the archiving of isogenic cell lines.
