Product Development Scientist | Cell Lines | South East UK

An exciting opportunity has come about with an organisation based in Cambridge. The company is a trusted supplier of cell line generation services, genetically-defined cell-lines, reporter gene assay kits, assay development and compound screening services (RNAi, small molecule & biologics) to hundreds of organisations engaged in bio-pharmaceutical process optimization; drug discovery & development, and clinical diagnostic development.

They are looking to recruit a product development scientist with responsibility for creating innovative new products. You will be involved in the technical realisation of new product ideas and work to help design and develop early concepts of future products and services. You will work as part of an interactive research team and help to shape the companys future with particular emphasis on generation of prototype products from early stage concepts and demonstration of technical feasibility.

You will need to be degree educated with a strong molecular biology skills including experience with DNA/RNA with emphasis on vector design, cloning, PCR, and genotyping. Experience in human somatic cell line culture and knowledge of genome editing techniques is desirable. You will need to be commutable to Cambridge and able to work well within a team.
