Biomedical Scientist | Histology | South East | to £35K (£44K OTE)

A in vitro diagnostics company is looking to expand their research team due to success and growth therefore a unique opportunity has become available to join this great discovery team based in the east of England.


Your role will be focused on supporting the implementation of prototype level development of diagnostic, prognostic & predictive immunohistochemistry kits. You will work in a driven environment that is complemented by your passion and knowledge.


You will need to have an established background in histology & cytology, ideally accompanied by experience as a biomedical scientist grade 2 (BMS II) position in the NHS. In addition to this you will be highly familiar with routine histology and cytology techniques including: sample preparations, tissue processing, tissue micro-dissection, TMA production, embedding and cutting.


You will have hands-on experience with a range of immunohistochemical techniques, in situ hybridisation, automated platforms, microscopy and digital pathology systems.
