A globally recognised brand within the life science sector is expanding its commercial team in the UK and has an opportunity for a Key Account Manager based in the South East/Cambridge/London region. This is a very focused role that will involve managing a group of 50 accounts that are all researching or manufacturing diagnostic kits, you will be selling products that are used in the research and manufacture of these diagnostic products. This will require real relationship building skills and the ability to satisfy complex sales processes with multiple stakeholders. Beyond the products you will be involved in discussing supply chain requirements, quality standards and consistency of product, all essential elements in the manufacturing process.
This is a rare opportunity for someone with a degree and existing life science sales experience, perhaps in the academic sector or more transactional sales arena to step up into a more complex and relationship based specialist commercial role where you will be looking to develop these accounts rather than finding new accounts.
