Senior Product Development Chemist | Adhesive Polymers | South East UK | to £34K (£35K OTE)

The company is an international leader in performance chemical products.

The Senior Product Development Chemist will be located in the South East and will be responsible for the development of general assembly reactive hot melt adhesives for a wide range of markets in an international environment.

This role combines technical product development work with customer interaction acting as the technical representative for the business.


The role:

Planning and execution of projects within agreed time frames and with significant interaction across functions

Defining customer requirements and utilizing this information along with formulating and application knowledge to develop differentiated solutions

Formulation and characterization of new products, developing new test methods as required

Scale up of new products and runs trials at customers

Reporting and presenting results to the business and have significant contact with customers and our plants

Contributing new ideas and novel technology uses and applications


Who we are looking for


Chemist (PhD in Chemistry or Polymer science, MsC or equivalent with relevant experience)

Experience in polymer synthesis

Experience in Product Development, from laboratory work up to commercialisation

Familiarity with statistical analysis tools would be an advantage

The position will require some travel
