Here is a hot new opportunity with a global, high-tech company with over 3500 employees and annual turnover of approx $1 billion. We have a great opportunity for an applications and sales trainee to support their growing UK business, and to promote their range of research-grade cameras in life-science microscopy.
The role primarily involves the technical demonstration of high-quality CCD and scientific CMOS cameras in the biomedical and life science market. You will also get involved in customer visits to demonstrate cameras (camera installation, software operation, image acquisition), attendance at exhibitions/trade shows, and customer training ( hardware & software ).
This is a commercial role but the style is driven by demonstrating what the image capture technology can achieve in the customers environment. A willingness to interact with customers and the ability to demonstrate equipment and add value is the key to success.
The role is office based in the South East with approximately 30-40% UK-wide travel (including Ireland). The following skills will be required: practical experience of microscope imaging and fluorescence microscopy. Previous commercial experience is not necessary as full training will be given. This is a rare chance to get into the commercial environment at a trainee level.
Of particular interest is knowledge of advanced techniques such as FRET and TIRF but this is not essential. Good practical knowledge of using fluorescent microscopes is required and a full training programme is available.
This role is open to you if you have good practical microscopy skills with the character and enthusiasm to break into your first technical commercial role. Please call Jonathan Pearse on 01279 657716 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
