This global company has a very successful commercial team. You will be responsible for generating new customers for the sales team.
This is an excellent opportunity to build up a skill base to begin developing your career. You will be given full product training – the products are highly technical market-leading genomics instruments at the forefront of personalised medicine and drug discovery. This knowledge which will enable you to progress into more senior roles within the company such as sales or marketing.
You will also be working closely with the French sales team so you will learn and gain an insight into their roles thus aiding your career progression. You will have internal and external training courses regularly and will hit the ground running with a supportive team and manager to get you going in your role as quickly as possible. You will have a clear career path to achieve progression and with success you will be promoted within a year or two in this role.
You will be working in a team of people with molecular backgrounds who generate customer leads across Europe. You will be responsible for generating leads in the French speaking territory. This company has had great success in the academic market but is growing sales in other markets such as diagnostics and pharmaceutical companies. They love to be creative and find potential future customers in new markets to continue their sales growth. This means you will be finding new leads for people who use related technology such as qPCR and microarray. These are people who could be using your instruments instead and will potentially improve their processes and open up new options for their work by doing so. You will find these people through web searches, from leads brought in by the marketing team who use emails and conferences to generate leads for the sales team and recommendations from existing contacts. Then you will be finding out about their current processes and the technology they use for their work so that you can support the sales team by providing them with these qualified leads – people who have a need for the technology this company sells.
The team has a positive high-energy atmosphere, with everyone achieving their targets and earning very good bonuses. You will find that you wont be new for long as the team is growing quickly due to their success!
