My client is a global specialist in developing, producing, and distributing point-of-care equipment. The creation of this new role reflects the company’s emphasis on driving revenue within one of its core business areas – diabetes monitoring and management.
Reporting to the Global Sales Director, you will drive all strategic sales, marketing, customer support, field service, training, public/government relations and business operations. You will be responsible for ensuring the diabetes portfolio reaches its sales and profit targets by implementing and communication of product sales programs, strategies and tactics. You will also build new business and expand existing relationships with clients.
In addition, you will work closely with the Head of Marketing, feeding input from customer, analytical industry data and product development teams to identify new opportunities, develop marketing plans and priotise business areas. You will also be building relationships with Global KOL within infectious disease and diabetes.
Finally, you will be fully responsible for the global operating budget and P&L, negotiating licensing and contract agreements, and identifying and evaluating opportunities for mergers and acquisitions.
You should be degree educated (MBA + PhD preferred), with an understanding of the global diabetes diagnostic market and technical understanding of the disease. Experience within diabetes, diagnostic sales/marketing globally is essential. Proven sales growth and senior management in a matrix organisation is also required, alongside first-hand selling experience. Additional languages desirable.
