Our client is a rapidly expanding UK-based genomics business with the proven ability to turn cutting edge science into next generation products. This highly ambitious organisation is looking for you if you want to take your skills and earning potential to the highest level.
The role is to drive international sales in the newly created bioproduction business unit and take the products to a global market. This is an opportunity to grow this business unit into a major profit centre and get involved at an early stage of the commercial cycle. The product ranges are cell lines for bioproduction at a cost point that will be highly attractive to the market.
You will be generating and driving the sales strategy, and the customer base has already been extensively mapped and is ready for you to approach. The role will require the credibility and commercial gravitas to successfully displace existing supply lines and help the customers with the decision to buy a product of matching quality at a fraction of the cost.
The role will cover a global territory and involve travel c. 25-50% of your time. The major markets are Europe, the US and Asia-Pacific regions.
You will be fully supported on a technical level so your commercial experience and expertise is the most important element. A degree or equivalent in biochemistry or molecular biology is sufficient for this role, with an understanding of the commercial bioproduction market and a successful record in selling to this customer base.
A second European language, knowledge of genomics or cancer biology or international level experience and contacts would be an advantage, although not essential if you have the passion to step up to a global role. You can be home-based from most European locations or the US.
The role is a direct sales and business development function however there is the potential to build a team as the revenue expands. This opportunity has outstanding uncapped earnings potential and a very competitive base salary and benefits package.
