Business Development Associate | Epigenetics | South East UK | to £40K (£52K OTE)

  • Do you have a PhD in molecular biology?

  • Do you have at least 2 years of commercial experience in the scientific industry?

For a long time we thought that our genes were our destiny. However, with the study of epigenetics, we are now starting to understand how environmental factors can affect what information we pass on to the next generations.

My client is a growing start-up that has taken on the responsibility to bring epigenetics to the forefront of scientific research internationally. They have developed a unique kit for the sequencing of epigenetic markers in DNA and are developing new products as well as partnership opportunities with laboratories around the globe.

They are looking for a Business Development Associate to join their dynamic team. You will develop business globally via direct sales (of the kits but also promoting the science), building relationships with new and existing customers and feeding ideas from customers back to the R&D team.

You will hold a PhD in molecular biology (or equivalent laboratory experience) and some previous commercial experience in the scientific industry (ideally in the genomics or related sector). Experience in epigenetics and/or sequencing is desirable but not essential. The role includes ca. 30% of global travel.

Every employee gets shares in the company, and since the people behind it are also behind what is now a market leader in genomics, this is a really exciting time to join the company as you will grow together with it.

If you are a relationship-builder and passionate about the science but also about selling, please get in touch with Keren on 01279 657 716 or
