This role is with an innovative company which is commercialising a technology which speeds up and reduces the cost of data analysis for Next generation sequencing in the clinical market. They will offer a cloud based solution which could be used with other software providers analytical products.
This company is aiming to be the gold standard in high performance accelerated genomics. As such they have hired the best people to support them in their product development. They also have the experience to make this solution extremely secure to ensure patient data privacy. They have maintained the integrity of the science behind the service but have the ability to speed this up rather than using simplified alternative algorithms. This reduces the cost as well as the time between patient sample and result.
With an excellent service ready to release they are now hiring for their first commercial team members. This company clearly has a strong technical team of IT and engineering staff. But they have a commercially savvy CEO and Commercial manager with vast experience commercialising technical products/services. This means that they have the experience to make this a success and will give you the opportunity to be heavily involved in shaping your role but also the future of this company.
In this position as a business developer/ senior sales you will be promoting the service offering in the Benelux region. Initially you will be heavily focussed on business development for the region. Over the next year or two you will get people on board and develop sales and then you will hire a team of more junior sales people to work with you to include inside sales. You will then be leading them to make the Benelux region a success!
