This successful NASDAQ listed company manufactures and sells novel diagnostic kits used to test contaminants, toxins and pathogens in food, drink and agricultural products. In addition to this they offer their customers laboratory services and it is here this brilliant opportunity has become open.


Reporting to the contract services manager, you will be the technical lead for all molecular diagnostic services. You will be responsible for leading the improvement and development of molecular methods for food testing and laboratory analysis to ensure the safety, quality and legality of manufacturing operations. You will be using state of the art real-time and end point technologies and will act as an in-house technical champion for molecular diagnostics.


You will also enjoy leading and coaching a small group of scientists – providing technical leadership and training in the area of molecular diagnostics.


This would suit a strong analytical thinker who is able to look at established testing techniques and figure how they can be fine-tuned for more accurate results. Experience in leading the validation of routine diagnostic methods, ideally to ISO17025 or other regulated level is essential.

These will include pharma, biotech and CRO customers across the South of the UK, the company have seen tremendous growth in this customer group over the past year hence the additional headcount. You will be supported by an excellent marketing and technical support team but will be expected to have a detailed understanding of many molecular research techniques.

A leading innovator in the genomic research sector is expanding its UK commercial team and is keen to recruit an Account Manager to manage and develop business within the Cambridge, Midlands and Manchester region. The role will involve mapping out the customer base fully to identify all potential business opportunities for the business who have a market leading range of instruments and associated consumables.
