A high technology business dedicated to the development and marketing of novel diagnostic kits is hiring a Key Account Executive as a result of expansion and growth.
These kits focus on topical concerns about the quality and safety of food and agricultural products, from the quality of seed that goes into the ground, right through the chain to the safety of fully processed food products. This company have recently won an award for international trade and development, one of the highest awards bestowed on a UK company.
Reporting to the UK Sales Manager, you will enjoy managing defined accounts and exploring new areas of growth for the business. You will assume responsibility for group account strategy and work with territory representatives to enforce a top down and bottom up approach to sales.
Another focus of this role is promoting the contract laboratory services this company also provide. You would work closely with the marketing team and territory sales specialists in order to encourage existing and new customers to use their latest analytical testing services.
You will be the only person with such a role within this organisation and it is imperative that you are able to build strong relationships with your customers and colleagues. Strategising and ensuring that the company stay ahead of the competition, you will be mainly office based in Scotland with approximately 30% travel a month to visit key customers across UK and Ireland.
This role would suit someone with excellent relationship management skills and field sales experience who is looking to step into a key account management position. A life science, food related or technical degree would be preferable but someone with relevant life science sales experience would also be considered.
