A leading manufacturer of analytical instruments is looking for a Technical Support Engineer for their team based in NW England.
You will be responsible for troubleshooting on mass spectrometry instruments and software and providing application support to customers. You will use your problem-solving and communication skills to address technical enquiries from scientists by phone, email and remote computer access (80-85% of the time). You will also occasionally support Field Service Engineers when necessary and perform installations and instrument maintenance on customer sites (15-20% of the time). This is a rare career opportunity and could evolve into a more expert technical support, applications-driven or field-based service engineering career.
This role comes with private healthcare and pension. Extensive training and support will be provided. Previous customer-facing experience would be ideal but is not required. Hands-on experience of mass spectrometry instruments (Q-tof and/or Triple Quad) including troubleshooting and method development is essential.
